Distance: 30kms/19mi (One Way)                             Difficulty: High         Place: Rio Serrano Village to Nordenskjöld Lake

This is one of the most beautiful horseback rides that can be experienced within the Torres del Paine National Park; for the wonderful views it offers. It also has a large West-East extension, which allows you to visit several places and attractions in a single day. This is a very technical and physically demanding ride.

Our adventure begins in Villa Serrano. We cross the pampa that surrounds the Serrano River until we reach the Administration sector of the National Park; to continue towards the Paine River. After crossing the Webber Bridge, we will gradually begin to gain altitude.

The pace at the beginning is slow, on a mountain trail, quite technical. Going up the Pehoé Lake sector, we alternate between galloping, trotting and walking.

This ride includes a box lunch in the middle of the mountain, and then we continue towards our final destination; the viewpoint of Nordenskjöld Lake. Here we will have time to rest, enjoy the view and take some photos.

Due to the length of the trail, it is very difficult to get back on horseback to Villa Serrano before the sun sets; So the ride ends at this viewpoint, where a vehicle will be waiting to transport us to our starting point (Villa Serrano), once we have rested and enjoyed the viewpoint.

Taking into account the technical difficulty of some sectors and the distance to be covered, it is estimated that the ride will last around 5 hours. We will intersperse moments of step, trot and gallop; in addition to riding both flat and open trails, such as some rocky and steep areas; Therefore, previous experience and a physical state accustomed to the practice of some physical activity is required.

(Only for riders with a lot of experience and an excellent physical condition, who are able to support several hours of galloping, we can analyze the possibility of doing the ride on horseback; always at times of the year where we have many hours of light. In this case it would last around 8-10 hours; and on the way back it would be around 4 hours of almost uninterrupted gallop).

* We provide helmets and gaiters. A local baqueano and a Spanish / English guide will be in charge of the ride.
* The use of riding boots is recommended, otherwise we suggest bringing the smallest shoes you have.
* Box Lunch included (sandwich, hot drink, water, nuts, chocolate or sweet something).
* Entrance to the National Park included (valid for 3 days).
* The excursion begins and ends in Villa Río Serrano, Torres del Paine. How to get there?
* Values expressed in Chilean pesos. Transfer back to Villa Serrano included.
